Smart Suspend™
Manage job priorities by safely suspending jobs without losing any work. Increase the effective throughput of your grid while improving its flexibility.

Preempting a job for a higher priority one no longer means killing the lower priority job, only to restart it from the beginning. Smart Suspend enables the safe, efficient and proper suspension of the lower priority job, releasing its resources including CPU, memory and application license(s).

Availability Services™
Checkpoint and restart jobs to protect against hardware failure.  Migrate the jobs to different servers for high application availability. Increase the flexibility of job management within the grid without losing results.

Availability Services enables periodic or user initiated checkpoints and the ability to restart the job from a checkpoint. Checkpoints are used to guard against hardware failure, suspend low priority jobs and restart them when resources become available, migrate jobs for preventive maintenance or priority purposes, or to take advantage of more powerful servers that become available after a job starts.
