We perfect monitoring so our customers sleep well at night.
Librato, located in San Francisco, develops a unique cloud-based platform designed to help companies collect, visualize, store and alert on large amounts of streaming data to manage the health of their applications.
Using our collective experience in distributed systems and scalable web applications, the engineering team has built a resilient and scalable platform for time series data analytics, thereby turning a complex problem of app and infrastructure monitoring into an easy to use service.
Our parent company SolarWinds provides powerful and affordable IT management software for the enterprise to more than 100,000 customers worldwide. SWI has $500M in revenue and 40% growth year over year. Together, we offer application performance management for any environment, with unexpected simplicity.
With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Bay and a central location on Mission and 1st, we make work as pleasant as humanly possible, and are never more than a few blocks from our 1000 San Francisco customers.
Librato provides on-site team lunches from local SF restaurants twice a week. When we’re not enjoying lunch in our beautiful city view kitchen, we explore the best of local restaurants. We are also obsessed with coffee.
Librato invests heavily in the monitoring community. We’ve been running the SF Metrics Meetup for four years, bringing together practitioners, startups and companies interested in pushing the role of metrics forwards. We sponsor Monitorama, and contribute talks on monitoring topics to other key conferences year round. We’ve also started a local SF User Group to better get to know our customers and share tips and techniques on using Librato and monitoring in general.
Librato collaborates across a multidisciplinary team: new product features will include feedback from Ops, Support, Design, Frontend, Marketing, and Data. We are constantly building tools to help speed up development, so when an out-of-the-box solution doesn’t work, we go and build one that’s better for our customers.
Around 30% of Librato works remotely. Slack is our HQ, but we make sure to get together for SF on-sites to share knowledge, have fun, and round it off with Hackdays, where many a great production feature was built.
All of the Librato team blogs and shares insight from what we are working on. Here are a few highlights:
